Okay, so I’ve got to put in a plug for PENCON, a division of the Christian Editor Connection. PENCON is the only editing conference for editors in the Christian market.
Fourth Annual Christian Editors’ Conference
May 4–6, 2017, Atlanta, GA
Seasoned professionals and aspiring editors from across the nation will gather in Atlanta for PENCON 2017, the fourth annual Christian editors’ conference.
At PENCON editors can attend workshops and panels on a variety of topics related to editing for private clients and publishers. Attendees can meet one-on-one with faculty members and network with one another. They can learn how to enter the professional editing field, turn an editing hobby into a career, or grow an already established business.
PENCON is the only conference for editors in the Christian market. Its mission is to equip and encourage Christian editors in cooperative competition through networking. Attendees will gain valuable knowledge about the editing industry and form lasting friendships within an established support group.
PENCON is a division of Christian Editor Network LLC, which has been providing education, networking, and community for Christian editors and proofreaders since 2004. Visit ChristianEditorNetwork.com for more information.
PENCON will be held May 4–6, 2017, at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Atlanta – Buckhead, 3342 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30326. Room reservations can be made at the group rate using the link on the PENCON website. Roommate requests are also available online.
Register online for $270 before registration closes on 4/17/17 or register at the door for $300. Members of The Christian PEN receive discounts on registration depending on their level of membership.
For more information, visit PENCONeditors.com or e-mail PENCON@christianeditor.com.
We’ve a nice faculty line-up, including veteran author and ghostwriter, Cecil Murphey and New York Times best-selling author Cindy Woodsmall. Take a moment and register at the official PENCON website here.
